Bring in your pipeline: connect a CRM or upload a spreadsheet

HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Freshsales, Jira, Zendesk — or a plain spreadsheet. Get your deals in, see exactly what mapped, and accept the run with confidence.

What you’ll achieve

Your real pipeline on the board, with an audit trail showing what was imported, what needs review, and what your data quality actually looks like.

Why this matters

Teams stall for months waiting for a “clean CRM” before trying anything new. The import is built for imperfect data — it shows you the mess instead of hiding it, so you can start today and fix only what blocks you.

Before you start

  • A CRM export, a spreadsheet (.csv or .xlsx), or admin access to your CRM.
  • Ten minutes — a first import is genuinely that fast.

The steps

  1. 1

Open Imports and start a new run

Go to Imports in the sidebar and click “New import”. The home page also shows every past run with its status — Awaiting approval, Applying, Failed — so nothing ever happens invisibly.

  2. 2

Upload your file and confirm the legal basis

Step 1 (“Upload”) accepts .csv, .xlsx, and .zip exports — drop a single file or a whole CRM export folder. Auto-detect recognises HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Freshsales, Trello, Jira, Zendesk, and timesheets.

    • The upload step also asks for a lawful basis for personal data (a GDPR Article 6 requirement) and lets you set data classification and retention.
    • This is not bureaucracy for its own sake — it is what makes the import defensible when your own customers ask how you handle data.
  3. 3

Check the preview and field mapping

Step 2 (“Preview”) shows a sample of your data with the proposed field mapping. Personal fields are masked in the preview. Adjust any mapping that looks off, then continue.

  4. 4

    Resolve identity decisions

The “Identity” step lists rows that look like existing records. For each, link it to the existing record or choose “Keep separate · Skip row”. Resolving these before the run is what keeps duplicates out of your pipeline.

  5. 5

Watch it apply, then read the results

The “Apply” step streams live progress. The “Results” step gives you the full audit: total rows, applied, validation errors, dead-letter rows you can replay, and anything still awaiting links.

  6. 6

Read the pipeline quality report and accept the run

Completed imports open with a quality report — missing close dates, deals without contacts, status conflicts — the honest state of your pipeline. Fix what matters or click “Accept run as-is” and let records materialize.

You’re done when

  • The run shows “Import complete” (or you consciously accepted a partial run).
  • Your deals appear on the Deals board with owners and stages.
